Dear Gay Democrates

Dear Gay Democrats,

I am sorry that you care so much that i am a member of a party that does not care about my sexuality.

That’s right.

I said it.

Republicans don’t care about gays.

That is to say they could care less that i am gay.

My politics have nothing to do with my sexuality.

And vice versa.

My politics are a representation of the values for which i stand.

Those values are republican values.

I have listed those values below because i’m sure that none of you have taken the time to familiarize yourself with them.

(i’m sure you were off supporting organizations like the HRC that claim to promote your cause or agenda but actually do very little except offer lip service to you.)

Here’s a thought gay democrats; why don’t you put your money and support behind an organization that does something more than promote half naked, drunken GLBTQ members parading through the streets of america?

why don’t you give money to organizations that promote gay adoption?

Or that do more to promote GLBTQ american as “one of them”?

Not all of us want the lifestyle the majority of the GLBT community has chosen.

Some of us want children, families, etc.

Some of us want a “normal” life.

But, because of the GLBTQ majority, the road to normalcy is made more difficult for the GLBTQ minority.

For this reason, and the reasons listed below, i am a republican.

I believe the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.

I believe in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.

I believe free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.

I believe government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.

I believe the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations, and that the best government is that which governs least.

I believe the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.

I believe Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.

I believe Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.

Finally, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.

These are the values for which i stand.

I ask you, “what are the values for which you stand?”

I will not deny that my GOP has, at times, been high-jacked by right wing nuts.

That is not my GOP.

That is not the GOP of the future.

The GOP of the future will be people just like me; gay, black, Asian, Mexican, Haitian, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, but most importantly american.
